Hello folks. Yeah, yeah. I know I had disappeared from iland for quite some time now. But there were genuine reasons for that. First, I was down with flu and got headache too. Then I went for the yearly eye check up. That's when I got a shock. Doctor told me that my eye muscle had become weak. She asked me whether I sat on the computer. I told her that I used to sit on the Net for hours. She gave me a warning that either I should reduce the amount spent in front of the computer for the sake of my eyes or the Internet connection should be cut forever. I thought it better to reduce the time rather than say goodbye to Net forever. So, I have decided that I'll sit on the Net for an hour each on Wednesdays and Sundays only. I take this opportunity to thank all my friends who stood by me. Thanks is just a small word but I am saying that from the depth of my heart.
Recently, an incident happened when I went to bank. There was an argument between a customer and an employee of the bank. After a while, the argument got escalated in to heated argument in full view of everybody else in the bank, including the other customers, who got a bit jittery watching the 'big fight'. Soon, I saw the Bank Manager coming out of his cabin. He told the customer "Please come with me." and took the fiery customer in to his personal cabin. The discussion between the customer and the manager went on for a long time. I do not know what was told by the manager. But, after a while, I thought I saw a totally different customer coming out of the cabin. He was relaxed and his anger had disappeared completely.
This incident set me thinking. So many times, matter gets aggravated because we fail to see reason and anger flares up on both the sides. But a perfect manager knows the ways to diffuse tension. May be, just listening to what the person has to say would make a lot of difference. After all, isn't it said that God has given us two ears and one mouth so that we listen more and speak less? Unfortunately, most often, it happens the other way round. We prefer to blast others without thinking about the consequences. So, what would you like to be today? A fiery customer or an Understanding Manager?
