What Would Happen

Hmmm.  I know many of my friends have thought that I am missing from iland. Well, I was missing for a while but I am sure my friends will forgive me for that, won't they?

First of all, I would like to wish all my iland friends a very, very Happy Diwali. May the light of prosperity shine upon each one of you. May you prosper not only materially, but in thoughts too. May you always think high and aim high.

My school's staff room is a wonderful place, a place where colleague pours out heart's woes and another one consoles. What's the big deal, did you say? Well, if you listen to their conversation you would know.

'A' - I am really concerned about my daughter. She doesn't listen to me at all. When I tell her something she would do just the opposite. She takes lot of time to do the things. My son is just the opposite. I tell him once and he does it. I am really scared about her.

'B' - How old is your daughter?

'A' - 11 years

'B' - 11 years and you are worried so much? Let her grow.

'A' - The other day she wore a sandal which was not    matching with her dress. I told her not to wear that one but she didn't listen. She was very angry.

'B' - Ok, you should have suggested her that this sandal doesn't look nice. But it's upto you to decide. Let her decide things on her own. She will learn from her mistakes. But if you don't allow her to decide things then she will always be subdued and that's not good. And don't ever compare her with your son. Both are different persons.

'A' -  I am very particular about these things. My mother was like that and I think I have got this quality from her. But now I will follow what suggestions you have given me.

'B' goes to drink water from the cooler. It's then that 'A' tells me "Let her marry and have children of her own. She will also start thinking the way I do."
